Feast of Solomon II

Chron 7:8-9

[8] And Solomon kept the solemnity at that time seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entrance of Emath to the torrent of Egypt. [9] And he made on the eighth day a solemn assembly, because he had kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and had celebrated the solemnity seven days.

Solomon instructs Sheba

I Kings 10: 3-5 

[3] And Solomon informed her of all the things she proposed to him: there was not any word the king was ignorant of, and which he could not answer her. [4] And when the queen of Saba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house which he had built ... she had no longer any spirit in her.

King Solomon's Throne

I Kings 10: 18-20     

[18] King Solomon also made a great throne of ivory: and overlaid it with the finest gold. [19] It had six steps: and the top of the throne was round behind: and there were two hands on either side holding the seat: and two lions stood, one at each hand. [20] And twelve little lions stood upon the six steps on the one side and on the other: there was no such work made in any kingdom.

Solomon's Prayer

I Kings 8: 27-28

[27] Is it then to be thought that God should indeed dwell upon earth? for if heaven, and the heavens of heavens cannot contain thee, how much less this house which I have built? [28] But have regard to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplications, O Lord my God: hear the hymn and the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee this day.

Herod Enquires of Magi

Matthew 2: 7 [7] Then Herod, privately calling the wise men, learned diligently of them the time of the star which appeared tothem; [8] And sending them into Bethlehem, said: Go and diligently inquire after the child, and when you have found him, bring me word again, that I also may come to adore him.

Isaiah's prophecy

Isaiah 7: 14

[14] Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign. Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel.
