Amiens Cathedral, south flank

We are standing in the area where the resident clergy, the canons, once had their houses: it was known as the "Cloister"
Note the differences between the upper nave and choir.
Note also that the western frontispiece is modest--not very high and the towers slender projection.
The upper nave is still in its unclean state (2014): you can see the start of scaffolding work in the lower eastern nave
