Amiens Cathedral (Passages)

North choir aisles looking north west

Through the elegant space of the double aisle we see the outer wall with its dado (an episcopal tomb inserted at a date soon after construction) and its four-light windows. In the distance, the west wall of the north transept. The little door to the right of the tomb opened into a passage to the bishop's palace.
Note: the vault of the western most bay of the inner aisle (far left) was rebuilt c.1500: it has a Flamboyant keystone.
