Bishop Sauve initiates search 

Sainct Saulve son peuple incitoit de faire a dieu priere pure Desirant scavoir au estoit. De sainct Fremin la sepulture. 

Saint Sauve, desiring to know where was the tomb of Saint Firmin. Urged his people to pray piously to God. 

Revelation

Saint Saulve en eslevans les yeux. Appercheut du trone divin Comme ung rais du soleil dessus. Le corps du martir sainct Fremin.

Saint Sauve raising his eyes saw from the divine throne [ie altar] as if a ray of sun above. The body of the martyr Saint Firmin.

Invention and Translation

Invention 

Quatre evesques Beauvais, Noyon, Cambray, Therouuenne aidant dieu. Vindrent voir ceste invention evocques par l'odeur du lieu. 

Four bishops, of Beauvais, Noyon, Cambrai and Thérouanne, in service of God Summoned by the [sweet] odor of the place, came to witness this discovery.

Translation

A Saint Achoeil en chasse mys. Fut puys en Amyens apporte. Plusieurs malades la transmys. Le depriant eurent sancté.

Put in a châsse in [the church of] S-­‐Acheul, [Saint Firmin] was then carried to Amiens. Several sick people, praying to it, were healed
