Tomb of Canon Pierre Burry d. 1504
Canon Pierre Burry is presented by his patron saint, Peter, to Christ as Ecce Homo. Pierre was a poet amd wrote his own epitaph:
I am buried close to the gate of the Temple so that passers
by who see me can lend the help that I request. Wretched
as I am, I ask neither gold nor silver, but that a favorable gift
brings ransom for my soul. You who remember [Pierre ]de
Burry, extend your votive [offerings] and your prayers:
Pierre does not ask for other help.
