Amiens Cathedral, north nave aisle looking into the chapels

You are looking into the line of northern chapels: we see the chapel of Saint John Evangelist followed by Saint Michael. Zoom in on the wall dividing the chapels: you can see the profile of the original outer buttress, extended outwards with the new masonry necessary to create the space for the new chapels. There is no liason between the new and the old masonry: the profile of the old drip molding on the original buttress is still visible.
