1 An Edo period school of tea ceremony founded by Katagiri Sekishū 片桐石州 (1605-73). Branch schools include the Chinshin-ha 鎮真派, Sōgen-ha 宗源派, Isa-ha 伊佐派, Ōnishi-ha 大西派, Shimizu-ha 清水派, Noda-ha 野田派, Fumai-ha 不昧派 and Ikei-ha 怡渓派.
