Minamigomon 南御門

The gates on the south side of Ise Jingū 伊勢神宮. They are large eight-legged gates *hakkyakumon 八脚門, that are gabled *kirizumayane 切妻屋根, and covered with thatch. The bargeboards *hafu 破風, extend beyond the peak of the ridge *munagi 棟木. There are six billets laid at right angles to the ridge. A large gate of the same style is located on the south side of the inner fence, and the outer fence.
