A crumbling wall. A type of stone fence *ishigaki 石垣 in which stones are piled up so as to resemble a state of elegant decay. Often depressions are created at the top. The bottom is a bit wider than the top. The karatsumi 空積 variant uses no mortar to hold the stones together.
