Lit. "boat-shaped water basin." A type of functional or decorative water basin, *chōzubachi 手水鉢, which utilizes a natural stone shaped like a boat. The major difference between fune-ishi 舟石 in dry gardens and funagata chōzubachi is the shallow waterpool carved into the top of the water basin.
