Also aobanagami 青花紙, tsuyukusairo 露草色. A blue pigment extracted from the dayflower tsuyukusa 露草 (commelina communis). The pigment is stained onto Japanese paper *washi 和紙 and reabsorbed in water for use. The stained paper is also known as aigami. Uses include making preparatory designs on cloth before dyeing. Aigami fades easily.
