A hōju roban 宝珠露盤 placed over the peak of a pyramidal roof *hōgyō yane 宝形屋根, found on small, square, or octagonal temple buildings, or at the base *roban 露盤 of the spire *sōrin 相輪. An amajimai may also cover the peak of the uppermost point of a pagoda roof.
