Also manjū kanamono 饅頭金物 (see *manjūgata 饅頭形), hoshu 鋪首, kankō 鐶甲. A type of decorative nail cover *kugikakushi 釘隠, which is thought to resemble a woman's breast. It has an extended nipple surrounded by a fluted or petal-shaped washer *zagane 座金. It is used over nails on various non-penetrating tie beams *nageshi 長押, over the nail on a bargeboard pendant *gegyo 懸魚, and to conceal nails on gate doors.
