Lit. "round star type water basin." A variety of *ensaki chōzubachi 縁先手水鉢, end of veranda water basin, in which the Chinese ideograph 星 or star is carved on the cylindrical water basin. Less common is the hōseishukugata 方星宿形 or square star type chōzubachi.
