General Terms
Also called *mitsudo tokyō 三斗斗きょう. A 3-on-1, non-projecting bracket complex parallel to the wall plane of a Japanese building. One bracket arm *hijiki 肘木, is first placed into a large bearing block *daito 大斗, on top of a pillar and secured with a mortise *hozo-ana ほぞ穴, and tenon *hozo ほぞ. Then three smaller bearing block *makito 巻斗 are arranged on top and attached to the bracket arm with a tenon and mortise.
