A variety of small, decidated mandala *besson mandara 別尊曼荼羅 centered on *Ichiji kinrin 一字金輪. Ichiji kinrin is depicted in the center displaying the knowledge-fist mudra *chiken-in 智拳印, and is generally surrounded by the seven treasures *shippō 七宝 (Sk: saptaratna) regarded as signs or marks of a universal ruler, tenrinjōō 転輪聖王 (Sk: cakravartin) and *Butsugen butsumo 仏眼仏母, but there are instances in which Butsugen butsumo is omitted. Typical examples of this *mandara 曼荼羅 are found at the Nara National Museum, Henjōkōin 遍照光院 (Mt. Kōya 高野, Wakayama Prefecture), and Tsubosakadera 壷坂寺 (Nara), but their overall composition and the disposition of the seven treasures are not uniform.
