Also called honshirin 本支輪 (main shirin). A short, curved, non-supporting transitional member that connects diagonal beams that are positioned at different levels. The most generally used *shirin 支輪, they are very closely spaced suggesting the curved shape of a snake's belly. Jabara shirin are wayō style *wayō 和様 structural elements. Example: Myōōin Hondō Naijin 明王院本堂内陣 (1321), Hiroshima Prefecture.
