jikuana　軸穴

Also 軸孔; jikuzuriana 軸吊穴; jiku uke 軸受; tobira jikuana 扉軸穴. The socket into which the pivot hinge *jikuzuri 軸吊 is inserted. Such sockets are made on the top and bottom edges of a plank on paneled doors and on the vertical framing or stiles *kamachi框, of doors or gates. In 7th-16th century, the socket was frequently called *toboso 枢.
