The Jōgan gishiki is a ten volume collection of ceremony regulations compiled by Fujiwara Ujimune 藤原氏宗 by order of Emperor Seiwa 清和 during the Jōgan era (859-77). The procedures for ceremonies conducted in temporary structures are described in detail.
