A composite style that includes a mixture of architectural elements from the daibutsu style *daibutsuyō 大仏様, and the Zen style *zenshūyō 禅宗様, worked into a building that is fundamentally in the traditional wayō style *wayō 和様. The name is derived from Kanshinji Kondō 観心寺金堂 (1346-69) in Osaka is an excellent example of the integration of styles *setchūyō 折衷様.
