A memorial pagoda, for which there is no particular shape or size. Kuyōtō is an offering of worldly goods such as drink or food to a deceased person who may have been a teacher, monk, or other honored person. Kuyōtō also refers to a commemorative service given when a temple building is finished or when the copying of a sutra is completed.
