Large wooden shingles which are about 30 cm wide and are laid from the ridge to the eaves. Where the shingles need to be joined, thin wooden battens are nailed to them. These shingles are applied to some wooden gates, for example, *kidomon 木戸門, to some sheds erected over a well, and to eaves.
