Also *yūjo-e 遊女絵. The term used in Osaka for pictures of courtesans yūjo 遊女. Also used more generally to refer to pictures of beautiful women bijin 美人: as with the Edo period artist Okumura Masanobu 奥村政信 (1686-1764) who used oyama ukiyo-e おやま浮世絵 as the title for his picture book Ehon bijin kao-no-hinagata sanjūnisō 絵本美人顔之雛形三十二相 (32 Model Faces of Beautiful Women).
