Lit. "carp stone." A stone placed at the base of a waterfall to symbolize a carp swimming up the waterfall. Good examples are found in the gardens at Rokuonji 鹿苑寺 and Tenryūji 天龍寺, Kyoto and Tōkōji 東光寺, Yamanashi Prefecture.
