Lit. "Saimyōji 西明寺-style latticed bamboo door." One type of raised lattice door *agesudo 揚簀戸 found in a tea garden *roji 露地, usually at the base of a hillpath. Typically about 3 shaku 尺 high and 2 shaku wide, it is a latticed bamboo door *shiorido 枝折戸 with a rounded rather than rectilinear frame. In Ishigumi sonō yaegakiden 石組園生八重垣伝 (1827) by Akisato Ritō 秋里籬島, this type of agesudo is called Saimyōji shiorido.
