Lit. "bamboo-grass metal fitting." A long, narrow, metal fitting *kanagu 金具, tapered at both ends. Its shape is thought to resemble a leaf of bamboo-grasssasa 笹. Used on the top of a handrail *hokogi 架木, of a railing *kōran 高欄.
