Seishomon 清所門

A type of *yakuimon 薬医門. A 1-bay, single-entrance gate with side gates *kugurimon 潜門, and a gable roof *kirizuma yane 切妻屋根, with tile roofing *hongawarabuki 本瓦葺, that dates from the Edo period. The Seishomon is located on the west side of the outer hard-packed earthen fence, dairi sotobei 内裏外塀 surrounding Kyoto Gosho 京都御所. It is north of the *Gishūmon 宜秋門 and is one of six gates in the outer earthen fence.
