shigedaruki 繁垂木

Closely spaced, parallel rafters. If the underside of a rafter and the space between it and the next rafter are equal, thus is called honshige daruki 本繁垂木 or komagaeshi 小間返. If the space between the rafters and their height are equal, this is known as segaeshi 背返.
