Also written 勝南院座, 小南院座, 小波座. One of the painting studios or guilds, za 座 of the *nanto-edokoro 南都絵所 connected to the Ichijōin 一乗院 of Kōfukuji 興福寺 in Nara. The studio was thought to have been founded by Sonchi 尊智 (active early 13th century), and many of its artists use the character "son 尊" in their names, such as Myōson 命尊 in the Nanbokuchō period, and Sonchū 尊忠 and Sonjun 尊順 of the Muromachi period.

Important paintings by this studio include the 1323 Shōtoku Taishi eden 聖徳太子絵伝 at Shitennōji 四天王寺 in Osaka which is signed "Edokoro Nanto Shōnamiza Tōtōmi Hokkyō 絵所南都勝南座遠江法橋" on the back. Around the late 15th to early 16th century, the studio moved from the Ichijōin to the Daijōin 大乗院 at Kōfukuji.
