Also *tenjōketa 天井桁 or tenjō ukegeta 天井受桁. A horizontal beam which supports the binding beam *tenjō mawaribuchi 天井廻縁, that is attached the space created by the junction of the walls and ceiling. It is used especially in temple and shrine architecture where the ceiling is supported by bracket complexes.
