Also read tōrihijiki 通り肘木. A bracket tie beam. A long horizontal beam inserted into the middle of a bracket complex *tokyō 斗きょう. It extends through the bearing block to 斗 (see *masu 斗), from one bracket complex to another. It is as thick in cross section as the bracket arms *hijiki 肘木.
