A wristlet. A decorative ring *kansen 鐶釧 found on the wrists of *bosatsu 菩薩 and other Buddhist sculpted images. Sometimes carved from the same block of wood as the main figure, or carved as a separate wooden ring or metal band then attached to the main figure. An example is the Bosatsu ryū-zō 菩薩立像 in Shōkeji 正花寺, Kagawa Prefecture.
