Also called a watari yaguramon 渡櫓門 or just *watari yagura 渡櫓. A two-story, timber-frame gatehouse constructed in the barbican gatehouse complex masugatamon 桝形門 of a castle. A *kōraimon 高麗門 is constructed in front of the enclosed box-shaped court. The next gate, the two-story yaguramon is constructed to the right of the first gate at a 90-degree angle. The second story of this gate house links the right and left yaguradai 櫓台 that run along the top of the stone walls on either side of the entrance, and has a connecting gallery for castle guards. The first story is flanked by stone walls and typically serves as a three-bay entry gate.
