An alternative term for a roof style found on Edo period farmhouses nōka 農家, called *takahei-zukuri 高塀造. The term is much used by *minka 民家 researchers since the early decades of the 20th century, but little used by local people. Yamato-zukuri 大和造 is a rarer variant.
