Also kōmorigata 蝙蝠形. A decorative pattern similar to the shapes found on a foliate-panel, shape *kōzama 格狭間 or *geshō 牙象. The motif is made up of symmetrical curved lines, which branch off to the left and right. Widely used in openwork decoration on panel doors kagamido 鏡戸, transoms *ranma 欄間 and fences hei 塀. In weaving and fabric-dying the same motif is called yu-enmon 油煙文.
