Choir and south transept from south east
Directly in front of the "Chapelle des Macchabées", the former chapter house. There are no clear dates for the construction of the chapter house but architectural details suggest a date around 1300 . Note that the window tracery (three trefoils) mimics the form of the choir chapels, yet the other architectural elements are quite different. There are no buttresses and the walls are very thick: this, despite that fact that the interior roof is a wooden one with no outward thrust. The windows are surrounded by multiple moldings (no capitals) and surmounted by a projecting hood molding. The little rectangular window to the side has double-curved tracery.
To the right of the chapel you can see the little gallery that once encircled the cemetery: Viollet-le-Duc reconstructed several bays.
