View of the cathedral from the Tour Perret

We are atop the Tour Perret, a 104m, 27-story skyscraper designed by Auguste Perret in 1942 and built between 1950 and 1959.  At 112m (369 feet to the tip of the central steeple) the cathedral remains the tallest structure in Amiens.  Much of the urban fabric in the foreground survived Wold War II.  The bishop's palace is hidden in the trees to our right.
