Amiens Cathedral (Passages)

North choir aisles dado of the two eastern bays

The dado has remained remarkably intact: the doorway pierced through the lower wall once led to a staircase leading to the upstairs chapel of John Baptist. The lower parts of the aisle windows were originally blocked by the two-story structure, demolished in the mid 17th century. To the extreme right, a glimpse of the chapel of Notre-Dame de la Pitié.
