This Web site was developed in associated with the exhibition "Restoring
Byzantium: The Kariye Camii in Istanbul and the Byzantine Institute
Restoration," The Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Art Gallery, Department
of Art History and Archaeology, Columbia University, from 13 April
through 12 June 2004 and at the Krannert Art Museum, University
of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, from 24 August to 10 October 2004.
Selected elements developed for this Web site were funded, in
part, by a generous grant from the Samuel H. Kress Foundation.
Additional materials were developed as part of a larger project
to produce digital materials for teaching the history of architecture
funded, in part, by a grant from the National Endowment for the
Humanities.
