eburidai 柄振台

Also written 絵振台. Also called onigawaradai 鬼瓦台, *onidai 鬼台. 

A base plate on which ogre tiles *onigawara 鬼瓦 or *shishiguchi 獅子口 are placed. This type of base plate is also found under: the ends of the main ridge *munagi 棟木; the ends of the descending ridge *sumikudarimune 隅降棟, the offspring ridge *chigomune 稚児棟; or a short artificial ridge *tsuma kudarimune 妻降棟, which extends from a base board at the base of a gable. The base plate may also be placed at the crown of an undulating gable *karahafu 唐破風.
