1 The arrangement of muntins, lattice (*fukiyose gōshi 吹寄格子), ceiling ribs (*gōbuchi 格縁 or *saobuchi 竿縁), rafters (*fukiyose daruki 吹寄垂木), or similar structured elements in sets of two, three, or more with a wide space between one group and the next. See *koshidaka shōji 腰高障子.

2 Also yosebuki 寄吹, *igarakuri 鋳繰. A method of metal casting, *chūkin 鋳金, where parts of a statue such as the head, left and right sides of the body, left and right arms, and so on, were cast separately and then joined together. The opposite of *marubuki 丸吹, where a statue was cast in one piece.
