Also *ketakakushi 桁隠, ketakakushigegyo 桁隠懸魚, *wakigegyo 脇懸魚, keta eburi-ita 桁惠振板. A decorative gable pendant *gegyo 懸魚 used to conceal and protect the ends of purlins in a gable roof. Kudarigegyo appear right and left below the bargeboard; a gable pendant placed at the top of the bargeboard covering the ridge piece is known as *omogegyo 本懸魚.
