A post set against a castle's sloping stone wall, at the same angle of incline, under the watch tower gate *yaguramon 櫓門, to support the beams that carry the floor of the gate. A brace is inserted into the yosekakebashira. It is attached to the first upright post to strengthen and stabilize it.
